FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Tylersroom will work with most browsers however if you want the most out of Tylersroom I recommend Microsoft's Internet Explorer. Sometimes certain browsers or computers may have trouble viewing or, you may not be getting the full effect of the high quality images, Live Feeds or Movie Clips on my site. If you have your font size set above normal this site might appear broken. In here are some tips that will allow you to view the site as it should be viewed.

Q:How do I clear the cache in my browser and why should I do this?
A: Netscape and Internet Explorer will download a graphic and store it on your hard disk so that when you return to a previously viewed page, your browser will pull the graphic from the cache instead of downloading it. Browsers are configured to use a certain amount of your disk space (usually 10%). When that space is used, you are now maxed out, leaving your browser no choice but to delete old files. Therefore, this causes your browser and hard disk to work twice as hard.

With Internet Explorer, you can clear your cache by selecting Tools then Internet Options and choose to delete temporary internet files or delete history. In Netscape, select Options|Network preferences and clear the memory cache and clear the disc cache.

Q: How do I save and view images on my computer?
A: In most browsers, you can simply right click on the image and your computer will give you the option to save the image, or view it in a separate window. To view the image again later, or to view images from another source (such as a CD ROM) you can either open it in your browser or download a viewer. Q: What are AVI's, MPEG's, and WMV files and how can I view them?
A: These files are movie files that you can download to your computer and save them for later viewing. In order to do this, you will need to have the proper player. Type in "viewers" or "movie players" in any search engine and get a ton of links for video players, most of the feeds have a link for easy downloading. Most are fairly small and easy to install. Q: Your site is huge. Are you trying to compete with other gay megasites?
A: Of course. I've been around the block, looking at all the other sites out there. I believe that I am offering a site the gay community so desperately needs. Q: That's a little arrogant, isn't it?
A: Not really. The other sites are great, but it takes a lot of money and time to visit them all. When you go out for the night, you could visit three clubs: one for the wet T-shirt contest, one for the drink specials and one for the atmosphere. But those three clubs? They are located in different parts of the city. I've bought your three favorite clubs, and we've put them right next door to each other on the same city block. Q: I don't want to give you any money. I'll never pay for porn. Ever.
A: That's your prerogative. But please be aware of this: My site is a primary portal of erotic content. I need to make money to bring you the hottest content from around the world. If I didn't make enough money to cover my costs, I can't continue to bring that part of my site to you. Q: Cry me a river. You're rolling in money.
A: No, I'm not. I invest most of the money I make back into my site.

I suggest Netscape version 6+ and Internet Explorer version 6+ as the most stable at this time (available in their download archive area). I use, and recommend Internet Explorer. It will run more quickly on my site than Netscape, and should provide better video performance. If you have a fairly new computer, you may already have Internet Explorer installed on your system.. check your Windows "Start" menu, under "Programs".
Another major cause of video problems can be due to incorrect video settings on your computer. If you are running Windows, do a "right click" with your mouse on any blank portion of your Windows desktop. From the menu that pops up, choose "Properties". You should then get a "Display Properties" window, with several tabs (should be about 6). Click on "Settings". If your video card allows it (most systems in the last few years should), make sure your "Colors" are set to "High Color", or "16 bit". This will provide optimal results. You definitely want at least a minimum of 64,000 colors.
Next, on the same settings tab, make sure that your "Screen Area" is set to a minimum resolution of 800x600. If it is lower, many sites on the internet will not appear correctly. If you are not able to set your video resolution that high, or can't get at least 64,000 colors in the "Colors" area, then you may need to get a newer video card. At the very least, make sure that you are using the most current video driver (software) for your video card.. an outdated video driver can cause problems. To find out where to get an updated video driver, check the documentation that came with your computer for video card details. You may also contact the manufacturer of your computer.
