Ah it's always nice to make my first picture post for the season. It's still early on here but with all the snow we had and the wet April things are getting lush fast. A very friendly pot-bellied pig suddenly appeared on the farm next door. Bandit flies out of the house when he spots it thinking it's his girlfriend Chloe and when he gets close he stops dead in his tracks and runs back with his tail between his legs. He's only being brave in this pic 'cause I'm close by. Curious fishies. Lots of bulb pics. Not really a garden pic but a blue Super Bee. Gail and Karen made these gardens last fall. I wasn't impressed at the time but they look pretty colorful right now. To me it looked like a lawn mowing nighhtmare. When the stuff matures I'm sure it will look great. I don't have the ability to see into the gardening future as well as Karen does. Or I'm just impatient. Colors. I mulched all the front gardens today. More close up bulb pics. Karen made the planters very different this year, I can't wait to see what these do. The windows boxes are the same as last year as I liked them alot with the color of the house. The doors are tentatively scheduled to be red but I'll wait until the rest of it is painted like the house before I make that final. Pink pine cones. I love the way this stuff ('Creeping Jenny' I think) is starting to move over the stones. The snowball trees. We had some storms today and now it looks like it snowed under those trees, all the blooms have been wiped out. The bug eating plant's flowers. Irises. I'm just amazed how everything is getting so much bigger every summer. Some garden scenes. Relaxing on a seriously hot day. More from me... There is some faux hardware going on the doors but other than that the garage is done. Peaonies. Hostas. Window boxes are filling in quickly. Assorted garden pics... I painted (stained) my deck red. Was a scary decision but I'm really happy with the result. Late July. The garage doors now have their hardware. Karen's planters are interesting this year. A kinda neat dragon fly. Some house shots. This is one of my favorite views. We planted this willow tree three summers ago and it's already 25 feet tall. Put in some horseshoe pits. A Canna Lily growing in the pond. Flowers. After a 16 month wait my Challenger is here. It was well worth the wait. Dodge did an incredible job with the retro design, unlike the Charger this car is very close to it's 70's brother. The interior is very similar to the Charger's interior. This particular car is called a 2008.75 First Edition Challenger 500 Series SRT8, there were only 500 made and it's got an extra 54hp than the 2009 SRTs will have to round out at 504hp. It even has those old fashioned windows with no encasing. They won't leak tho as they automatically seal once they're put up.
