Hot and hazy August afternoons

Lilies, hanging baskets and August colors

Froggy!

Well camouflaged critters.

Late summer colors

Doves.

More flowers.

Me.

My boy.

Evening skies.

Some pics around the garden from July.
Bird on a wire.

I thought the orange lilies surrounding that tree (can't recall what the tree is) were kinda neat.

Another Karen touch.

Formerly a horse shoe pit now my little potato garden.

Some house shots.

Super bee.

Poppycocks? Holly's cock? Something like that.

Flowers.

Trying to look kewl.

Window box colors.

Not sure what this is but it caught my fancy so I zoomed in on it.

Bandit.

Spring has arrived.

The gardens are getting some early color.

Karen's display on the hill looks pretty kewl this year. Cheering up some people's commutes maybe.

My puppy is 5 years old this year. Don't ask how old his dad is.

Some bulbs...

An afternoon drink.

An afternoon drink.

The dino slide for Smokeshadow.

Thanks for the emails and comments about the tulip pics. Here's some more.

My birdie friends that live in the veranda.

Spring colors around my place.

The hanging baskets on the veranda are a mix this year, some fuchsias, trailing begonias and mini petunia thingys.

Karen doesn't intend to leave the white pines in the planters after the season. I thought it was a neat idea though, then she can plant them in the field somewhere in the fall.

Flower pics.

The next three are the same flower with different backgrounds and times of day.

The pond was so unhealthy this spring, full of rotten crap at the bottom, sick fishies and a not so pleasant smell. Well after a cleaning and numerous treatments like below....

...it's looking healthy again and the fish are as happy (and fungus free) as can be!

Colors in the yard.

Critters.

Good camouflage.

The hostas at the front are huge this year. The leaves look prehistoric and make great hand fans.

I'm getting the roof done this year, the front doesn't look too bad but there are hundreds of shingles missing on the back and sides. It will be brown to match my garage roof. I'm debating painting the metal veranda roof chocolate brown - not sure about that yet. I'll post pics when the roof work gets underway in a few weeks.

A little porch display.

Flowers.
